Last two months minutes read and unanimously accepted.
Secretary’s Report:
Secretary reported 8 members still outstanding, cancellation letters have been sent out. The report was unanimously accepted.
Treasurer’s Report:
The treasurer reported a balance of $16,349.54. The report was unanimously accepted.
Communications read:
The Sisters of Mercy informed the council that the annual feast of the Assumption of Our Lady pilgrimage and mass will be held on Sunday August 15, 2010 starting at the Grotto of Nazareth at 5:15 pm. The council is invited to attend.
An application for membership was received for a Felix J. Vincent.
Standing Committee Reports:
The tootsie roll drive will be held on Oct. 16, 2010.
The chicken barbecue netted a profit of $1603.54.
John Benoit thanked all who help making the event a good success.
There will be a St. Patrick Day dinner dance held on March 16, 2010.
Mike Banks is planning a Mother’s Meal. With respect to this event the council is having Fran Lapine look into what compensation if any he is planning to pay the council for this event.
Bob Barlow is planning to hold a Taxes Holden on Nov. 5 2010
Old Business:
The council unanimously voted to pay Father Johnson $250 for his upcoming festival.
The council voted unanimously to transfer $6095 from the council treasury to the board of director treasury.
New Business:
The council vote 12yes, 2no, with 6 abstentions to make the annual pizza party an official meeting.
The council voted unanimously to send the application of Felix J. Vincent through proper channels.
The insurance agent gave lengthy talk on knights insurance.
